RBRC instruction (battery recycling)

The American Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC) was established in 1994 as a non-profit public service organization that mainly helps and promotes the recycling of rechargeable batteries, including wireless power tools, mobile phones and wireless phones, notebook computers and cameras. Nickel-cadmium batteries (Ni-Cd), nickel-hydrogen batteries (Ni-MH), lithium-ion batteries (Li-ion), and small sealed lead batteries (Pb) in recorders and the like. Users simply see the EPA-certified Rechargeable Battery Recycling Company (RBRC) logo on a rechargeable battery, which means it can be recycled. This is one of the expanded producer responsibility (EPR) policies. EPR is an environmental policy that was first implemented in OECD member countries. This policy extends producers' responsibility for their products to the post-consumer waste disposal phase of the product life cycle. RBRC also has two important roles: to educate users of rechargeable power on the benefits of rechargeable battery recycling, and to set up a recycling program where companies do not have a recycling program.

 

The Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC) offers three options for collecting, shipping, and reusing spent used rechargeable batteries.

 

A. Retail Recycling Program: RBRC provides retail store owners with a collection of used rechargeable batteries.

 

B. Community Recycling Program: RBRC helps communities and municipalities add recycled, rechargeable batteries to their existing household waste clean-up plans. These batteries are collected in a centralized location and RBRC will pay for the transportation and recycling of these used batteries.

 

C. Corporate Corporate and Public Sector Recycling Program: RBRC assists companies, corporations, and government agencies in setting up and managing non-domestic rechargeable batteries in the workplace.

 

There are currently many battery manufacturers in China joining the RBRC organization, but it is confusing and regrettable that RBRC logos and its recycling channels are rarely seen in life. By carefully examining the publicity materials of most Chinese member companies, we have discovered a phenomenon in which many Chinese companies will only join the RBRC as an honor or a displayable capital that increases the competitiveness of their products, but there is no specific, The contents of the operable recycling method are introduced.
