Battery CB certification

The CB system is a set of global mutual recognition systems for electronic products established by the IECEE (International Electrotechnical Commission Electrotechnical Products Qualification Testing and Certification Organization). The system obtains national certification or approval based on the mutual recognition of test results among the member countries participating in the CB system. The purpose is to reduce international trade barriers arising from the need to meet different national certification or approval criteria.

 The

In June 2009, the Certification Management Committee (CMC) of the IECEE CB system established the resolution ACAG/1398/DSH for lithium batteries to comply with the IEC 62133 standard, and established a corresponding import schedule (three-phase import). . However, due to the IEC 62133 standard being upgraded, and the Committee of Testing Laboratories (CTL) comparing the current version of the IEC62133 standard and UL and other standards, it was finally decided to postpone the implementation of the resolution. In early 2011, the CMC re-established a preliminary delay IEC 62133 import schedule, as follows:

The first phase: Prior to May 1, 2011, batteries that passed the UL 1642 standard can be accepted directly.

The second phase: From May 1, 2011 to May 1, 2012, batteries that passed only UL 1642 certification are not directly accepted. The difference between IEC 62133 and UL 1642 must be added.

The third stage: After May 1, 2012, whether it is a battery pack or a cell, it must be tested and evaluated in full compliance with the IEC 62133 standard and must meet the standards.
