Norwegian PoHS Test

POHS Chinese translates as “disabling certain hazardous substances in consumer products”. On June 8, 2007, Norway notified the WTO of the requirement of “disabling certain hazardous chemicals in consumer products” and stated that it would restrict 18 kinds of substances in consumer products, namely POHS regulations.

The "Prohibition of Specific Hazardous Substances in Consumer Products" promulgated by Norway came into effect on January 1, 2008 and covers almost all consumer products. The new rule proposes to limit 18 substances, of which only two (lead and cadmium) are included in the EU RoHS Directive, and another 16 substances are prohibited from use.

Testing products

In addition to electronic and electrical consumer goods, it also includes clothing, bags, construction, toys and so on. This regulation is not suitable for use in food, food packaging, fertilizers, medical equipment and cigarettes, as well as on transportation vehicles, fixing devices on vehicles, tyres and similar transport accessories.
