Indonesia SDPPI certification

The Indonesian General Directorate for Resources SDPPI (Direktorat Jenderal Sumber Daya dan Perangkat Pos dan Informatika) is the regulatory body that formulates, plans for and implements standardized policies and policies in the radio and telecommunications fields, and has the function of public services to issue licenses for radio spectrum, including the regulation of radio frequency spectrum. The interference and misalignment are institutions that have wireless/communications testing and certification capabilities, including wireless product SDPPI certification.



Wireless products exported to Indonesia must pass the Indonesian SDPPI type certification and customs inspection. The Indonesian Department of Post and Telecommunications (DGPT) has been forcing from June 2009 to ban Indonesian offshore companies as type-approved licensees.

SDPPI Certification Application Information

1. copy of act of association (indonesian, "aktapendirian")

2. Copy of tax number (Indonesian, "NPWP")

3. A copy of the company registration (Indonesian, "TDP")

4. Copy of import license (Indonesian, "NPIK")

5. Relevant technical data and application form

6. Local dealer information (certificate will only be sent to local agents)

7. To apply for Indonesian certification, you need to provide the local Indonesian company authorized by the foreign manufacturer as the holder of the certificate. Local companies in Indonesia allow certificate holders to be local vendors of the manufacturer, local wholesalers, or local brokers. (Need to test locally in Indonesia).

  Beginning on September 1, 2014


  The SDPPI certificate is no longer divided into A certificate and B certificate.

  1. There is no longer A or B evidence;

  2. Manufacturers or importers can apply for SDPPI certificates directly;

  3. The validity period of the certificate is three years, but it can only be continued once the validity period of the certificate (the validity period is increased by three years). Six years later, the certificate needs to be extended. Only new applications with WLAN and BT features must provide a straight prototype.

  As of November 14, 2014, all products with WLAN and BT capabilities must provide direct prototype testing, and previous policies for acceptable prototypes for Bluetooth products have been cancelled.
 



SDPPI certification special case

The products that are applicable to SDPPI exemption include: GPS terminals, servers, network switching equipment, keyless systems, and wireless charging equipment.

The main information that needs to be provided to us in the application for exemption letter is:

1. An application signed and stamped by a real importer or manufacturer;

2. Product specification;

3. Photo interior and exterior photos;

Exemption Notice

1. The holder of the exemption letter may be an importer, manufacturer or factory, but it is recommended to use the name of the local Indonesian importer to apply for the relevant exemption letter;

2. The validity of the exemption letter is 1 year, and it needs to be re-applied after it expires;

3. Applying for a waiver usually takes 1-2 weeks;

4. All materials can be reviewed without submitting a sample
