CB certification

    The CB system (IEC system for qualification testing and certification of electrotechnical products) is a IECEE operation - An international system, IECEE member states certification bodies based on the IEC standard for the safety performance of electrical products tested, the test results that the CB test report and CB test certificate in IECEE member countries mutually agreed system. The purpose is to reduce international trade barriers arising from the need to meet different national certification or approval criteria. IECEE is an abbreviation of the International Electrotechnical Commission certification and certification organization for electrotechnical products.

    CB System Member States

    The CB system provides manufacturers with an easy way to obtain multinational safety certifications for their products so that their products can enter more than 60 countries, and this number will continue to grow, including

    Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Shanmai, Spain, Finland, France, United Kingdom, Greece, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, New Zealand , Poland, Portugal, Russia, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Turkey, Ukraine, United States, Yugoslavia, Switzerland, Malaysia, Sweden, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bulgaria, Uruguay

    CB certificate report

    The CB report is a standardized report that enumerates the requirements of the relevant IEC standards in a list-by-item form. The report reflects all tests, tests, verifications, inspections, and assessments required by the standard. These results should be clear and unambiguous. The report contains photos, country differences, terms and conditions, and product descriptions. According to the rules of the CB system, the CB test certificate is valid only when it is provided together with the CB test report, and the CB has no mark.

    Request a CB certificate

    1. Regarding the application of CB test certificate, the following points should be noted:

    a.CB test certificate application may be submitted by the applicant to any "certification/recognition" NCB covering the scope of the product;

    b. The applicant may be either a manufacturer or an entity authorized to represent the manufacturer;

    c. The application may include one or more factories that produce products in one or more countries.

    d. Applicants/manufacturers/factories located in countries where there is no IECEE member institution need to pay an additional fee of 150 Swiss francs per CB test certificate to compensate for the operating costs of the system. This fee is accepted by the NCB that accepts the CB test. Receive and enter IECEE's account.

    e. The applicant may request NCB to test the product based on the national differences in the country of sale of the product.

    2. The manufacturer's product certification to obtain the target market includes the following procedures:

    a. Submit an application to the NCB of the target country;

    b.CB test certificate;

    c. CB test report (may include national differences);

    d. Provide product samples to the target market when requested by the NCB;

    The purpose of the requested sample is to confirm that the product is consistent with the product that was originally certified for NCB testing and that it has covered national differences.

    3. National differences

    National differences are the differences between a country's standards or regulations and corresponding international standards. All national differences in the countries participating in the CB system are submitted to the IECEE Secretariat and published in the CB Bulletin.

    CB product certification scope

    At present, the CB system covers electronic game devices, test equipment, power supply cables, capacitors and components, lighting, home appliances, protection devices, transformers, office and IT equipment, AV equipment, and medical equipment. There are 14 categories and 180 types. product. The CB Labs (CBTL) is a laboratory accepted by the CB system and authorized by a specific National Certification Body (NCB) to perform product testing and issue test reports. Manufacturers can obtain CB reports and certificates from any country’s national certification authority and convert them to other safety certificates through national certification bodies under the country’s system.

    CB Test Certification Necessity

    It is the foundation of the CB system that the results of the product safety test of electrical and electronic equipment are accepted globally. Upon successful completion of the test, a CB test certificate and a corresponding CB test report will be issued for the product. Together, these two documents constitute a permit. Manufacturers can apply for global certification of any national certification body that participates in a country or region of the CB system, and usually no longer require additional testing. In addition, when applying for CB certification, it is necessary to inform the countries to be included in the report so that the corresponding national differences can be taken into account when testing.

    CB certification cycle and expiration date

    The normal time is 3-4 weeks, which can be rushed. No valid period.
